Those angels!!! Thank you for sweeping us away…
Angelic, aren’t they? Thanks for commenting, Susan!
Every photo depicts the harmony of two… and the invisible tie in between…
Gorgeous!
Thanks to all of you for your comments. I spent the summer working hard on B&W photography in Sicily (totally ignoring what I was supposed to be doing–writing!), so I’m glad you like the result.
One shot more tender than the next. Thank you.
Come tutti dico belle foto! BRAVA

delightful
Wonderful photos…my favourite is the last one, because of the contrast between the melancholy of the couple and the writinh HOPE in the background…
Thanks, Pina. That final photo was taken in Catania. I was surprised to find that English graffiti on the wall–if only all graffiti were so uplifting!
So sensitively observed. The black and white treatment makes the scenes somehow more starkly real and touching.
Wonderful pictures, Jann. Thanks for sharing part of your world with all of us!!
Fabulous photos! Great composition – even the backgrounds suit the subject. You’ve got a gift, my friend.
Jann, what a lovely black and white series! My favorites are the elderly ladies walking on the sidewalk and the ones where there are two ladies sitting outside! You’ve captured the atmosphere perfectly! Wonderful!
Jann, I do hope that you enter competitions. ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS!
Thanks, Marisa–too kind. Yes, I’ve started doing the competition thing…
I love every photo…but My Fave has to be the two silver haired women. 🙂 Lovely.
Beautiful Jann… love the old ladies especially!
Fantastic, beautiful post!
Wonderful pictures…..really captures the essence of Sicilian life. My first visit there was in 1955 and I have been back 3 times since. Every visit is a new and grounding experience.
Just meaningful…! Everything starts with the two….!
